At Armour Heights we know that classroom teachers are communicating homework tasks and projects that may extend into the homework timeframe. If you are looking for further homework ideas please consider the following:
Primary Grades:
Reading and Oral discussion on a daily basis.
Practice with letter and work recognition.
Levels for reading as determined by school.
Working on basic math skills. Adding/Subtracting/Grouping
Play with construction items, money, objects.
Junior:
Reading for research and pleasure each day. 30 minutes
Math skills with addition/subtraction/multiply/divide
Word problems that connect math and language.
Journal writing, letters to family/friends.
Creative artwork/constructing with items around the house.
Intermediate:
Reading for research and personal interest. 40 minutes
Review and practice of math skills daily or as needed.
Personal writing in letter, journal or report style.
Work as assigned by teachers for projects/tests/assignments.
